November Designs + Important Dates

NOVEMBER DESIGNS

I realize I hadn’t actually showed you all the November Designs prior to charges on the 1st, but here they all are in their glory! For Mugen Club, we are making it easy for y’all with no variants as our theme is kuchinashi, also known as Gardenia. Gardenia is not a floral I ever knew much about other than it is used as a scent in body care and perfumes, but according to Taka, kuchinashi is part of the kanpo family of traditional Chinese medicines studied in Japan. Used in traditional medicine, Taka’s thoughts for making the kuchinashi the floral for November is that as we are going into cold season (and likely some spikes in covid and flu), we can wish you all health and wellness with this design. While it is a fairly simple design, its 1.75” size makes it perfect to wear as a brooch or even to keep your scarf in place in the cooler winter months.

As for the Pretty Winkers designs, we have not one, but two green eyed sassy queens taking front and center! Even though they’re in totally opposite seasons of the series, can you just imagine all the witty retorts they’d have in combat if they’d ever crossed paths?! S. Healer’s design is based on her transformation and I thought the green planet shape behind her would look really cool with a sandblast/translucent effect, so that’s what I’m gonna do! :p For Zste, I insisted Taka sneak in a cute rat as a nod to my favorite Zoisite episode where he is barreling down sewer tunnels after Luna & lovelorn kitty, Hercules. You’ll also see little fluffy grey balls representing the rats, scattered amongst the dreamy cherry blossom petals. Once again like last month’s Jdte, the art style is more manga style, but the color choices are based more on the 90s anime.

Also, funny fact about this month’s pretty winkers is they were actually supposed to be December’s designs, but Taka misread the designs he was supposed to work on, so looks like November’s Star Maker & Nephrite will be in December. Which makes my timing for my redraw a little off since I drew Nphrte for November! haha Speaking of redraws, I realize since I draw these in ProCreate I have the ability to share the process of them which is always fun to watch, so I’ll be posting some of those timelapse videos on Insta more as reels, maybe get that algorithm love?

IMPORTANT DATES

Finally, I’m sure you’re all waiting for your favorite creators and stores to announce their Black Friday deals, so I wanted to let you know that we are planning to run our Black Friday promos a week early this year. We will have more details as it gets closer to our promo time, but we are planning to run our promos from November 16-November 20th. I decided to run it a week early so that I can actually enjoy Thanksgiving week a bit and also get orders out a little ahead of the shipping rush that will take place the following week.

I will also likely be running pre-orders for Princess Mrs later on this month, most likely around the 22nd, so look for her final design reveal in the next two weeks or so. As we will be in California next week for Anime Expo Chibi, I plan to use some of my downtime to work on her vector as well as some other long-promised non-SM designs.

SHIPPING UPDATES

We are tabling tomorrow at GeekGirlCon (which I need to now go to sleep to rest up for) but I’ll be spending all the rest of my time before we head to California on Wednesday working on grading the pins we just got in.

Unfortunately, the latest batch of pins we received did not include the outstanding Warm & Classic July Lotus variants as promised. I’m waiting to hear back from my manu why that is. At this point I am guessing they never even got made or possibly got shipped to someone else since it’s been too long. I apologize to mugen & docchimo club members who are waiting for pins, and will be prioritizing getting your packages out first. Do expect Guardian of Revolutions, Smug Scoundrel, Lotus (if you requested Soft Pink or Purple variant), Morning Glory (all variants in now), and Spider Lily. You will notice the Spider Lily sticker sheet missing from your order as those haven’t arrived and will likely arrive in another week or two, so I’ll send that in the next box I send out for y’all. For Pretty Winkers & Docchimo, the next box will also include Moonlight Defender, Masked Supporter, and Unwavering Loyalty.

Thank you all for your patience and I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing more designs from us and seeing more and more fun stuff from us.
